Awaken the Fire Within: 5 Ways to Connect to Your Spiritual Flame

We are innately strong, resolute and purposeful. Our spirituality is engrained and embedded into the gears of our existence. You don’t have a soul, you are a soul -- it lights within you a fiery touch of fearlessness.

When we are able to tap into the depths of what we hold within, it opens up new portals and gateways to the fullness of our distinct magic. Spirituality creates a platform for an authentic way of living that sets you on your own unique path. We are all on a journey of self-discovery and self-knowledge -- to become wiser and more enlightened, strengthened and supported from a place deep inside. It is only when we begin to uncover the true magnitude of our inner strength and awaken our inner fire that we can take strides into realizing our power for change, transformation, success and happiness.

5 Ways to Connect to Your Spiritual Flame

The most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire.

- Ferdinand Foch

Trust your own intelligent soul design

We give up our power too easily to people, places, situations and circumstance. We can lose ourselves in the tangible and material aspects of life. It is only through claiming that power back that we can begin to start changing things for ourselves, external of other influences. Your power is found in your authenticity and everything that sets you apart from anyone else. When you box yourself into other peoples’ values, structures and beliefs, you drift further away from what lies at the very heart of you, your own truth.

Moving through difficult circumstances and lighting your own way enhances that inner power -- and it all begins with believing in yourself. Stand strong in your uniqueness and your vital energy imprint. We seek perfection, yet it is something we already have -- it lies in being perfectly free to just be who we are. The world can strip away at our worth but the fire within calls us to take it back.

Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.

- Carl Jung

Be guided by your intuition

Your instincts and intuition are 'wired up’ by your connectedness to your emotional energy and heart space. How much do you trust yourself? How much do you value what you feel inside? Logic can only half-measure what is truly already whole. Sometimes the most amazing things are born from what cannot be boxed into the realms of logic. Your intuition is one of those things. Being heart-led and following your intuition means emerging out of the ego-fed mental processes so that you think less, and feel more. De-clutter your mind; walk the path less travelled and you can hear the sound of your inner voice talking. Trust that voice, it is your built-in sensor from the sparks of your divinity.

The very essence of instinct is that it's followed independently of reason.

- Charles Darwin

Open up to synchronicity

Awaken Your Inner Fire: Open Up to Synchronicity

When you are guided by your intuition you synchronize and align yourself to your highest good. From a heart-led space you can utilize all your inherent wisdom and be directed by the drive of your heart. By following your heart, you essentially invite into your life sequences of meaningful occurrences that may be downplayed as co-incidence. There are no co-incidences. The universe works by design in a rhythmic pattern through waves of energy and connection.

Tuning in to that essence opens up your world to synchronicities that can put you in the right place at the right time. When you pay attention to these meaningful occurrences, they naturally increase in frequency. These little messages that you intuitively note down or recall with some significance can simply let you know that you are right where you are meant to be. Trust your journey.

Synchronicity is an ever-present reality for those who have eyes to see.

Carl Jung

Embrace the polarity of life

Dark times are inescapable. Light and dark live within each other and co-exist; you cannot have one without the other. This is part of the polarity we all share: through understanding our own darkness, we are intricately able to sit with others in theirs. We cannot dispel the negative in our lives, but we can seek to find the positive within it. We can adjust our vision and use all our dark times and experiences as tools for evolving and engineering our way forward.

In truth, we decide what is positive or negative -- the circumstance has not changed -- but how we perceive and subsequently respond to it has. Perceptions paint entirely different pictures. An altered viewpoint on negativity can draw back the power to you rather than your situation. Construct a path for yourself that understands the beauty of both the pain and the joy in life. See everything as an experience.

It's not the situation, but whether we react negative or respond positive to the situation that is important.

- Zig Ziglar

Trust that everything connects

We are intrinsically and divinely connected to each other and to the universe as a whole. Sometimes we think ‘too small’ -- let us start thinking bigger, and see what happens. The magic of possibility lies in the unknown. When we open our eyes to the benevolence of what surrounds us we can tweak and adjust our perspectives to realize that we are an intrinsic part of the whole. Isn’t that an amazing thing?

The universe is an ocean of untapped human potential. Discover where yours lies by believing in your inherent purpose. That idea or creative project you have in your mind but have yet to further explore could have the capacity to change the world in some way; or at the very least, change you.

Follow your dreams and stretch out your thoughts; realize your greatest potential by embracing your place among the many. You are a valuable piece in the universal puzzle.

The sea has this contradictory quality that the more you see of it the more it overwhelms the eye and disappears in its own brightness. Like a flame, whose meaning is light but whose centre is dark, it demands to be undefined.

- Alice Oswald

Your spiritual flame: your own distinct signature

Never underestimate the strength and fusion of your soul. When we emerge out of what is purely physical, we can expand our innate intelligence to respond and take action toward our dreams and ambitions. Your spiritual flame carries your own distinct signature within the universe -- an inner fire that signs your name on your existence.
