Soccer Legend Neymar Gives Back to Fans at a Charity Game — By Stripping Down to his Underwear

Give the fans what they want.

One of the best soccer players in the world gave his fans the view of a lifetime: his underpants.

Not every sports fan gets to say they've seen their favourite player. And not many of those sports fans can say they've seen their favourite player in underwear.

If you were watching Barcelona star Neymar during a charity game in 2014, you got to see one the best soccer players in the world — ALL of him.

Hey call it soccer or football, underwear means the same thing in any dialect.

During the 'Ball Hunger Only' charity match in December 2014, Brazilian soccer star Neymar couldn't seem to decide the best way to thank his fans so he stripped down to his undergarments and began throwing his gear and uniform into the stands.

As if the forward wasn't a popular reason enough to be the main attraction on the pitch, he began to strip.

Fans were chanting his name after the game ended in an 8-8 draw and he figured the best way to thank them was to get almost naked.

Neymar da Silva Santos Junior, known colloquially as Neymar, is a Brazilian professional soccer (or football) player, who plays forward for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazilian national team.

He's regarded as a prolific goalscorer and renowned playmaker, often compared with the best soccer players in the world.

A Legendary Souvenir

Neymar has scored at least 100 goals for three different football clubs, making him one of only three players to ever have achieved the feat — after Cristiano Ronaldo and Romario.

By that notion, he's also the ONLY player in the history of soccer to have at least 100 goals for three separate clubs AND strip down to his underwear on the pitch.

That's got to mean something, right?

After coming off the pitch at the end of the 8-8 tie game, Neymar walked towards the crowd and handed his jersey and shorts to the fans in the stands — all of whom were screaming with excitement.

He also ditched some of his gear, leaving the Barcelona forward wearing nothing but his underwear, socks, and his iconic haircut.

How's that for a souvenir, fans? A high-scoring 8-8 soccer match and one of the planet's best players in just his slim-fitting underwear.

Maybe that's why soccer is the world's most popular sport? You never know what you're going to see...
