Although an insider recently unveiled that the couple has split after nine months together.

After a complex divorce from now ex-husband Kanye West, Kardashian's goofy and fun-loving relationship with Davidson was like a breath of fresh air. While many were convinced that their relationship was a publicity stunt, they also had fans rooting for them. Davidson was featured on a few episodes of the hit reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians where their audience got more insight into their somewhat unconventional dynamic.

Kardashian and Davidson’s relationship was hot and heavy from the start. After their Jasmine and Aladdin sketch on stage that ended in a brief smooch, Kardashian felt drawn to the comedian and actor. Even though they initially claimed that they were simply friends, it was confirmed in November that they were in fact dating.

The couple’s relationship immediately took off. Davidson was featured in episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians where we caught glimpses of the couple in their natural habitat. Davidson also accompanied her on many red carpets including the MET Gala. The duo had no shortage of Instagram content and the @kimkardashian page was instantly filled with photos of the two on vacation, sharing kisses and sweet moments.

Throughout their relationship, Davidson managed to sprinkle some anticipated ink on his body for his girl. He’s known for getting tattoos from prior relationships and then covering them up post-breakup. We’re curious to see how he covers up his “My girl is a lawyer” tattoo and his Aladdin tattoo alluding to how the two met.

An insider told People magazine that the two reached a mutual and natural end. “They’ve definitely been slowing down,” the insider said, “Things heated up quickly in the beginning when he could travel back and forth to see Kim and spend time with her, but his schedule has gotten so packed.”

With Davidson in Australia for work, it’s understandable that the distance disrupted regularly scheduled programming between the two. “Pete is still super bummed, though, about the breakup,” the insider continued, “They really hit it off and had a ton of fun together, but it feels like it ran its course.”

To further confirm the breakup, a second source told People, "It was an amicable split. They had discussed ending their relationship for a bit. It wasn’t sudden, and it was a mutual decision. Getting back together is not in the cards right now.”

Pete Davidson’s Relationship With Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s Children

On the topic of tattoos, the most controversial one that Davidson has in regard to his relationship with Kim features her and her four children. The tattoo reads “KNSCP” which are the initials of Kim, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm in chronological order of birth. That’s not the only time we’ve seen Davidson warm up to her children.

He was photographed hanging out with North, letting her sit in his lap while he drove Kim’s Pink Moke electric car. His willingness to participate in their lives is not a surprise given his recent interview with Kevin Hart in his Peacock series Hart to Hart. Davidson told Hart that he’s “definitely a family guy.” “My favorite thing ever, which I’ve yet to achieve, is I want to have a kid. That’s like my dream,” he tells Hart. Hart asked about the role marriage plays in that dream to which Davidson replied, “I mean, that’s the way I hope it goes, yeah.” At the time that this was filmed, Davidson and Kim were together and thriving.

While Kim’s kids were certainly not Davidson’s biologically, it was clear that he cared about them. Given his dream of fatherhood and the way he described wanting to find purpose through that, this breakup feels like heartbreak for anyone who was rooting for their family to grow.

Kanye West Vs. Pete Davidson Feud Explained

Kanye West has said many questionable things online. While some of his posts are direct and unwavering, some of his comments are cryptic. After Kardashian and Davidson’s relationship announcement, West entered into a very public online battle with Davidson. The rapper accused Davidson of destroying his family and constantly berated him online. He even went so far as to post private messages between Kim, Davidson, and himself.

Given West and Davidson’s rocky history over the last year, the public was on edge waiting for his response to the breakup. Unsurprisingly, West took to Instagram to share a photoshopped image of a New York Times newspaper with the headline: “SKETE DAVIDSON DEAD AT AGE 28.” This is a reference to West’s slightly disturbing music video for “Eazy” in which he depicted Davidson’s death rapping that “Everyone lived happily ever after except Skete”

The post has since been deleted and neither Kim nor Davidson have commented on West’s post or the breakup as a whole.

Can We Expect Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson to Remain Friends Post-Break Up?

The story of Hollywood exes is never-ending. There will never be a shortage of both amicable and chaotic splits between entertainers. While some breakups have been dramatic, ending with court custody battles and nasty comments online, there have been some really wonderful friendships to come out of them.
