17 Stevie Nicks Quotes to Help You Look on the Bright Side of Life

American singer and songwriter Stevie Nicks (born Stephanie Lynn Nicks), is famed for her mystical chanteuse image. She enjoyed massive success as the vocalist of British blues band Fleetwood Mac, but also as a solo artist.

Ever since she was a little girl, Stevie was in love with music. After getting her first guitar, she spent her adolescence playing records and writing songs filled with poetic and symbolic lyrics.

While still performing with Fleetwood Mac, Nicks chose to also start a solo career, so in 1981 she released her first solo album “Bella Donna” that has reached multiplatinum status and became number one on the US Billboard charts. Nicks remarkable career brought her eight Grammy Awards and in 1998 she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

We all really basically have a lot of magic … it’s only those of us that choose to accept it that really understand it.
Little girls think it's necessary to put all their business on MySpace and Facebook, and I think it's a shame... I'm all about mystery.

I'm really an old-fashioned girl, and I think I'm totally sexy.

Thunder only happens when it’s raining; players only love you when they’re playing.

Stevie-Nicks-on-finding-love

Love is only one fine star away.
Being able to take care of myself is something that my mom really instilled in me.
I want to be age appropriate. I don't want to be that girl you see walking away and she looks 25 and then she turns around and she looks 90.
Most women would not be happy being me. People say, 'But you're alone.' But I don't feel alone. I feel very un-alone.
Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love? Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through the changing ocean tides? Can I handle the seasons of my life?
I hope you find a love. Your own designs of love.

A community is so much more than people sharing a space. It's a living, breathing network of connections and shared experiences. While it's usually defined as “a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common,” true community runs much deeper than that.
